Thank you for visiting my Voting Schedule page. I hope that you find the
information and links useful. Following the schedule, I have also included
my views about voting (below) and who I consider the conservative
in the races.
Full Disclosure: I am
a Christian, I am Conservative, etc... This is my blog
website. I am doing all I can to educate and convince people
who share
my
core values to vote for the conservative candidates. I am
not going to talk bad about the liberal websites and their comments
but I am also hoping that people are smart enough to know the
difference. If you want to get my weekly updates and they can
be daily updates during the voting days, then please COMPLETELY fill out the
Get Notified form.

This is the upcoming election
schedule:

About voting.... I ask that you vote
your values, vote for those who are conservative (or sadly
less Liberal than the other), and have courage to stand up
for your principles. Don't
vote for a person just because you met them, the person was nice to
you, or you heard the name.
In fact, most of the
people in office are nice. Vote for the person that best
represents you AND who would make decisions most like you. Keep in mind that they are your
representatives you are electing to make decisions for you.
Let me be blunt... If
you vote for a person that would not vote the way you would want,
then you are voting against yourself and that is kind of stupid
isn't it?????? As John Wayne once said, "Life's hard, it's even harder when you're stupid."
I
ran for office because the City Council was making decisions that I
did not agree with. All six City Council members were
supporting things that I did not like. In reality, I agreed
with the majority of the votes but there were about ten fundamental issues
that I did not agree and most of those can be found on
my issues page. Keep
in mind that I am only one of six on this one City Council. It
would be nice to have a conservative majority - in all City Councils.
Who to Vote for? I do not mind telling you who I am
voting for (see below) BUT it is important for you to know WHY I am
voting the way I do...
I vote for people that I think would make decisions the way I
would. Anything else is just a vote against me and the
things I believe in. I am rooting for them because of their views on
the topics. Please support and vote for these people. AND
Sometimes, I have to choose the "lesser of two evils" and vote for
the one that is less Liberal than the other.
Note: Some of the people mentioned below
may not be on your specific ballot. They are the person
that I would vote for if on my ballot because I consider them
the conservative choice. If a person is not on the list,
it does not mean that they are not conservative - I just do not
know or there is no choice for me.
MAY 29, 2012 - Texas REPUBLICAN Primary: (see early voting dates above)
Search for your registration to determine your precinct then
find your sample ballot:
http://elections.dentoncounty.com/go.asp?Dept=82&Link=1275
- Ballot Propositions: I am hearing two sides
to these...
Can someone tell my why not? At this time, I see that
we should vote YES on all of these.
- Presidential:
Michelle
Bachman, Rick
Santorum, ???. Rick Santorum is
still on the ballot????? He suspended his campaign and
kind of (but not really) endorsed Mitt Romney. Weak
endorsement at best. I guess we may be
stuck with
Mitt Romney who is more conservative than
what we have now but note that he was not in my top list of
choices.
- Clarification: Some of you have asked why I
predict Obama to win. Several reasons:
- A bunch of people have the entitlement philosophy and
will vote for Obama to make it close if there were just two
candidates.
- The presidential election is won by who has the most
votes (plurality) - electoral college, etc...
- I believe there will be enough support for Ron Paul -
who has no chance of winning - that he pulls enough votes
away from the republican nominee. This would not be an
issue if we had majority voting system instead of
plurality for the president election because a runoff
would be held if no one received more than 50%.
- And to clarify ... I never voted for or will vote
for Obama. I listened to him when he was running and
never liked what he wanted to do. He has done a lot of
things that he said he would do. Lied about the rest.
- U.S. Senate -
Glenn
Addison
- A close second Choice is
Ted Cruz
because of some of his past which you can look up and
determine for yourself. I do like what he has been
saying but... There is that feeling that I cannot
ignore. Ted Cruz also seems to be the media
favorite so he might win the primary.
- U.S. Congressional District 24:
Kenny
Marchant
- U.S. Congressional District 26:
Michael Burgess
- Texas House District 64:
Mike Brucia
- Texas House District 65:
Ron Simmons
- Denton County Sheriff:
Benny
Parkey
- Denton County Constable, Precinct 3:
Jerry
Raburn
- Denton County Constable, Precinct 6:
Ron Smith
- Denton County Tax Assessor:
Marc Moffitt
- A note about Michelle French, she is also a quality
candidate. I wish that these two were not running
against each other. However, taking all points into
consideration, I think Marc Moffitt is the better choice 51%
verses 49%. Moffitt has a masters in finance, he has created
and owned business. He has also been working for the
County for a number of years but like French.
French has been working in the tax department and worked her
way up to assistance Tax assessor for the last 28 years.
She has been a loyal and good County employee.
Personally she is a good person too but I had to weigh the
issues and qualifications. Both are real good people
but Marc edged out ahead for me. I have spoken with
Michelle French and she respects my choice. In either case,
citizens win.
