As the possible collapse of our Southern neighbor becomes a
possibility, I wanted to have a page that relates to Narco-Terrorism
as it seems to be the core of their problem. I also

02-12-2009: Narco-Terrorism is a threat to Texas. It is
what is happening down in Mexico and along the border. With nearly
355 people reported kidnapped in Tucson, Arizona in 2008 alone, it is
definitely intruding into our Country. Nuevo Laredo has not had a
Police chief since 2006 because the Drug Cartels are pretty much running
major parts of Mexico.
We saw "Drug Wars: Silver or Lead"
tonight. Rusty Fleming who is the producer of this documentary about
the drug wars on the border. He is from Waxahachie and is well known to
many in the state for his work on the drug issue. It is worth seeing.

This was filmed on Monday 02-17-2009 in a border town
across from Hidalgo, Texas called Reynosa, Tamaulipas Mexico.
The news report is in Spanish but you can tell what he is saying.

Chihuahua Mexico governor's convoy, kill guard -
Associated Press
Gunmen shot at a convoy carrying the governor of a violence-wracked
border state, killing one of his bodyguards and wounding two other
agents.
The federal Attorney General's Office said Monday it did not appear
that Chihuahua Gov. Jose Reyes Baeza was the target of an
assassination attempt.
