I'm proud to tell you that I'm going "behind bars" to help in
the fight against muscle disease. I'm joining other community
leaders to help raise critical funds for MDA, and I need your help
to reach my bail!
The Lewisville Area
Lock-Up takes place on 03/08/2012, but I'm raising my bail before I
go to jail! All you have to do is
click here to make a secure, online donation today. Your support
will help families living in our community with muscle disease, and
help guarantee that I get out of jail. I will be sure to add you to
my list of contributors.
Please support me in this important goal by visiting my
fundraising page and making a contribution
to get on my HONOR ROLL. Your tax-deductible
donation makes a difference to the hundreds of kids, adults and
their families who live right here in our local community.
Thanks in advance for
your help. Don't hesitate to call or email me with questions.
Welcome
and Thank You for visiting my 2013 Campaign website for
Lewisville
City Council, Place 4.
In May 2009, I ran for an unexpired term for place 4. I received the
most votes in the City Election (44%) but not quite enough to have
more than half and was forced into a RunOff. A month later, in June
2009, I won the RunOff Election. Then in 2010, I ran for a full 3 year
term and won the election. There is an election every year in
May for two of the six positions on the City Council.
See my Issues & Status report
for a few of the many important topics that I have tried to get
accomplished in my time on the Council. Keep in mind that I am
one of six members on the City Council.
Over the years that I have lived in Lewisville (since 1987), I am
like most
Lewisville citizens, I read the local news papers and I am
concerned about the direction of Country and our City of Lewisville.
I continue to devote myself to looking out for our City.
It is my hope that you will share my
excitement and optimism for the future of Lewisville.
Please join me and get involved in the community.
How can you get involved? Attend the City Council
Meetings and review the agenda before the meeting - Speak during
the Visitors/Citizens Forum at the meeting on topics that you
would like addressed.
Since my first meeting (July 6, 2009) as a Lewisville City Council
Member. I have done my best to address the issues that I told the
voters that I would do. You can see these top issues on my
Issues & Status Report page and I
will continue to support these important issues along with all the
others.
I will not mislead you
nor will I speak for my opponent. I ask that you contact me
directly to answer any questions that you might have. I choose
to serve standing firm on my values not groveling for votes. Many questions that I am
asked are on my website already but I would like to hear from you
anyway. Please feel free to call me at 972-315-0496.
Why City Council?
The main reason I ran was because I could not find someone to run
with my same values - someone who truly represents me. I did not run
‘just because’ or ‘I want the position title’. I admit that
there are certain topics that got me started on this path but I
assure you that I have many concerns beyond those. I ran because
there was a need for someone to stand up for Christian Conservative
values, American Patriotism, and the Rule of Law. I am not
going to deviate from my
core values for political expediency.
As stated above, I created an
Issues & Status report page about some of the items that are important.
Please keep in mind that everything is important and I consider
every issue very carefully. You will notice that many were not
passed as I was the only person on the council that wanted to pursue
these topics. They will not come to pass until there are others on
the City Council that want to do these things too. Each year
two places are elected at large (no districts - city wide) for a
three year term. Therefore it is very important that you vote in the
yearly city elections.
For those of you that believe like I do and see that I have done
what I said I would do, please donate to my campaign. Your Donations
are very much needed - no matter how small the size of the donation.
