Congratulations to Greg Tierney
for winning the City Council Place 1 Election.

 

Here are the results that were given to me tonight.  I believe that these were the final official numbers.

Total voters: 1398

Place 1:

  Greg Tierney: 796 (61.14 %)

  John Gorena: 506 (38.86 %)

Place 3:

 Lathan Watts: 811 (62.76 %)

 David Fogle: 461 (36.24 %)

 

THANK YOU to everyone who spread the word and got me votes.  It was only 2 months and 5 days before the election that I decided to run.  After reading everything and finding out what I needed to do, we worked the campaign for about six weeks.  We received $600 in donations and I contributed $485.81.  Just imagine if 11% of the voters voted for me instead of my opponent, then we would have won.  A campaign for $1,085.81 in six weeks and did not win by 11% of the voters is Not Bad - not bad at all.

I will continue to devote myself to looking out for our city.  It is my hope that you will share my excitement and optimism for the future of Lewisville.  Please join me and get involved in the community.  How can you get involved?  Attend the City Council Meetings and review the agenda before the meeting - Speak Visitors/Citizens Forum at the meeting.
